And now for something completely.... Equal....

Well, the first post by my lovely assistant (I'm going to get beat up thanks to this little joke) is in. Simple and effective, but it has one phrase I would like to refer in particular: "I must warn now that this blog will be for thinking, and nothing else. Don't expect me to be writting here a journal or something like that.".
Why do I choose this very phrase? It resumes something I thought when creating this blog. Writing about what I am, not about what I done.
The past is something that comes to mind alot of the time, the things we were, the rough times, the laughs... But normally you don't remember every single of the moments you passed by. Probably in the last week, not many moments are going to remain in my mind... But that's where I disagree of Mia's phrase. There are some moments, some journal pages that are too important to your thoughts to ignore, that shape them, focus them. Those are the moments I will probably post around here. As for Mia it's very very hard extract anything relevant to her from her... Only with a lot of patience and tact you're able to extract something from her. So, I believe she will stick to her word, and reveal exactly nothing of her moments , marking or not (althought I can't say I wish otherwise). Let's wait and see.

Finishing the first part of a long post, and commenting the arrival of Mia (again) just wanna say, welcome aboard... Let's see what can I learn from what you post around here. Love you kid... (no not THAT kind of love...).

To finish this post I will do what I've seen some 300000 times in other blogs, post a lyric to a song I hear every ten seconds at the moment. If you have the oportunity give it a spin... Here it goes:

Dave Matthews - Gravedigger

Cyrus Jones 1810 to 1913
Made his great grandchildren believe
You could live to a hundred and three
A hundred and three is forever when you're just a little kid
So Cyrus Jones lived forever

Gravedigger
When you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain
Gravedigger

Muriel Stonewall
1903 to 1954
She lost both of her babies in the second great war
Now you should never have to watch
Your only children lowered in the ground
I mean you should never have to bury your own babies

Gravedigger
When you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain
Gravedigger

Ring around the rosey

Pocket full of posey
Ashes to ashes
We all fall down

Gravedigger
When you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain
Gravedigger

Little Mikey Carson 67 to 75
He rode his
Bike like the devil until the day he died
When he grows up he wants to be Mr. Vertigo on the flying trapeze
Ohhh, 1940 to 1992

Gravedigger
When you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain

Gravedigger
When you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain
Feel the rain
I can feel the rain
Gravedigger

Gravedigger

Beautiful song by Dave Matthews... The phrase "Could you make it shallow / So that I can feel the rain" especially touches me. Death, Nature....

Finishing here because it feels like I'm babbling.

Have a nice day... and drop me a line :P.

New life in a couple of days

Well sometimes things convolute rapidly... After creating a blog I didn't knew I would use, then making 3 posts in no time (that's something for no use...) now the first change arrives. I referred a dear friend in my previous post. That same friend was, incidentally the first person to read this god-forsaken place (at least that I know of). From that I invited her for co-writing for this blog... That's one of the moments that give a good insight in the way she is (starting to describe one of the characters). After asking her something like "Want to post at my blog also?" she diverted the subject of conversation for a group of non-related subjects... After a good 20 minutes (or so) of this, at the same time she says something like "Gotta go now", precedes it with a "Yes". I can't help to transpose the situation to a marriage proposal... That would be a sight... There's no Hollywood like this I guarantee you....
Well, she still hasn't posted... But she will...
In other news.... No... Can't say I have any other news... You know that feeling you had a good ten pages of something to write, all those thoughts crawling to your mind, remembering amazing phrases that should and would be used in the same text.... Minutes later... Not one remains... Only the random babbling about the things that happened in the last couple of hours... Selective memory? Changing spirit... Who knows?...

Let's just end this around here before I start to end the mellow phase that some people already know too well.

Bye to all...

Futebol Clube do Porto at the Champions League Final

Yesterday...
Life was such a easy game......
OK, that's enough. Yesterday, FCPorto the club from the town I was born, raised and live in, Porto. Was able to defeat Desportivo de la Coruna in the Champions League Semi-Final. It was an amazing moment in my life, it's absolutely unique having your club, a small European club in terms of Financial power, getting to the most important Soccer competition final. To get there it played against such names has Manchester United, the richest club in the world, Real Madrid, home of the fantastic six (Raul, Ronaldo, Figo, Zidane, Beckham and Roberto Carlos) and a lot of other important European teams.
Now, let's see what happens in the final, in a German town with a completely unpronounceable name (Gelzenkirschen or something like that).
In other news, the Queima das Fitas do Porto Cortejo, a parade where the university students show themselves to the city, an ancient tradition, was a blast. Being with all my friends, partying a lot, and generally blasting chants about the courses or faculties.
One of the traditions, integrated in this event, is the signing of shirts, in which the t-shirt each person wears (normally connected to the course their in) is signed by the colleagues. One of the signatures I received yesterday came from a dear friend, which I lament not being able to be in person more times. It's really beautiful when you read some things you don't realize every day, and you should be grateful every breath you give for those very things.

What's that thing you ask?

One small word.... Friendship

Kiss to one of my dearest friends.
Shot out to every one that stumbles here...

Life at the manic house

Usually in any good novel... Better yet... In ANY novel... The main characters are introduced... In detail, explaining their little habits, defects or better yet, the way they are built, the way they think. The beauty of being able to control how another being thinks... A make belief being... But a being nevertheless. So why did the writer remembered this character description bits? Well... A good first reason is... I can... The second one is, I still haven't decided if I I'm going full blown for a total revelation of my other self, or still I'll continue with the constrains I have been put upon by the society. Well that psychological doubt won't be solved any time soon, so... I won't reveal the character on the other side of the mirror.
However many distinct characteristics of myself will transpose the local and time constraints put upon by the singular mean of communication so many of us call home... No, not the blog, I'm new at this... But the internet...
Well I came to post because I had one of those days where miraculously everything came together. After getting my car to a workshop, after I crashed last Friday... Knowing it would cost a hell of a lot of money (by my standards of course) ... Then getting to the lab... There began the good part of the day... Ending a feature in an hour and a half, followed by a nice client and group meeting... Finally some 10 minutes before getting out of the lab, "killing" a bug who tormented me for quite some time... Well all's well when ends well...
Ending this enormous post :| I would like to say the word "saudade"... I will talk about it later... but I'm feeling that right now for a fabulous friend who's away on a well deserved vacation... The only thing I hope is to have a fixed car next Sunday, when it's time do pick her up at the airport.
Rest well, beautiful...

Adios to all

Cup of sugar, and an e-mail address

If you happen to stumble on this piece of land, send me an e-mail... Of course You'll need that thing to do it... What's it called? haaah... E-mail address, that's it! Here it goes (obfuscated...): afonso_at_fe_dot_up_dot_pt

Blank Page

The first sheet of paper, the blank page... Pen, pencil, brush, keyboard at and, waiting for the first inspiration for the first post on a new adventure, a new way of escaping to the ethereal dimension of the internet, the second life for a person living too much lives.
A complex web of connections connect me to a multitude of people... Love some of those, completely indifferent to the rest of them. This may / will be a space for the thoughts that cross my mind once in a while. My little corner of web... The one place where I'll express those things I don't usually say.
If You actually know me, in the alternate world we call reality... Run.... Run away from this URL... Nothing to see here, except the ghost you never thought were here...
If you know those ghosts, mail me... Always interesting to talk to those who know me like I don't know me.

Welcome to nowhere...
